THE WORKSHOPS PROCESS
ON SITE

The workshop started with a tour through the former employment office, guided by the assistant of the managing director of the City´s Registration Office which has been the occupant of the building since 1997.
Since then the building is not open for tourists.
The possibility of a guided tour would give the visitor an insight on how the building functions. The residents relation towards the site was found out by the group by interviewing people passing by or living in the surrounding apartment blocks. Thanks to their spontaneous willingness to talk, the group learned not only about the site´s changing through decades but also about personal histories and everyday living in this specific area of Dessau.
